Spray These Perfumes On Your Ankles, & Thank Us Later

TikTok is home to many… interesting hacks. While some influencers are pushing magical greens to help your digestive health, or promoting the viral “3-2-8” workout, there’s no denying that social media has a tendency to influence us — or rather, our behaviors. And while you might not be rolling out the pilates mat just yet (same bestie), there’s probably one life hack that we’ve all been doing, whether you want to admit it or not: I dare you to look me in the eye and tell me you haven’t been spraying perfume on your ankles.

ICYMI, I’ll bring you up to speed. The trend of spraying perfume on your ankles skyrocketed in 2022, and has become a TikTok hack for the books. According to users, spraying perfume on your ankles exists to keep you smelling good… especially in the bedroom. This is going to get a little PG-13, but once things start to get hot and heavy with a partner, you’ll going to find yourself in a variety of positions. Your legs can go over your partner’s shoulders, near their head, or even above yours, if you’re flexible enough. According to TikTok, it’s so your partner can continue to smell your perfume even when they’re far away from the normal spray spots like your wrists, neck, and chest. Spicy, right?

However, the ankle spray method exists outside of the bedroom, too. Spraying perfume on your ankles allows your body to smell great all over, not just on the top half of your torso. Honestly, makes sense.

I don’t know about you, but I love to smell good — in and out of the bedroom. Thanks to TikTok, there are a ton of fresh fragrances to try out in 2023. Just make sure to spray ’em on your ankles too… trust me, bestie.

Finally, By The Fireplace (Nordstrom, $76) has been a TikTok staple for months. And the hype isn’t unwarranted. It’s warm and sensual, with notes of orange, pink pepper, wood, and vanilla. Advertised as a “memory in a fragrance,” this scent is absolutely one to add to your cart, and your ankles, ASAP.
