Too much is going on.

My mind is racing and I think too much.

When I’m here, I can let everything slip away by

Letting you mix my drinks until dawn.

My doctor told me to relax,

To put my mind at ease.

Wouldn’t she be disappointed

Knowing my drug of choice

Was cutting my life short, like an ax.

So let’s have some fun.

I’ll take care of you, and you’ll take care of me.

When the world begins to spin, my laugh echoes in our ears.

Outbursts of victory make the room alive

And I can sit and absorb a night as great as this one.

As the sky gets brighter

And the night grows short,

My eyes are heavy and my heart feels like lead.

Nights like these are all we have in common,

Yet I know I’ll be coming back often

Because my time spent with you

Is what makes me feel higher.

So let’s have some fun.

I can take care of you

And you can lift my spirits

Because after everything I’ve gone through,

This is what I’ve finally won.
