This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Wake Forest chapter.

While college can be incredibly fun and some of the best years of one’s life, it can also be really stressful. With tests, papers and a sometimes constant social life, it can be overwhelming. It is important to stop for a moment and take some time for yourself. By treating yourself, you will feel re-energized and able to tackle your commitments with a fresh mind.

1. Make a Playlist

When I’m feeling overwhelmed, music always seems to help. Sit down with some headphones and browse Spotify or iTunes. Find some new music and make a new playlist. It’s a really fun, easy way to get your mind off of your responsibilities.
