Manifesting has become a popular practice, especially with young women. It has seen an increase in use through platforms such as TikTok and Instagram. Even celebrities such as Ariana Grande claim to use manifestation methods to attract positivity and success. However, manifesting has been a common practice throughout the world for nearly all of human history. Methods of manifestation differ by culture, but the end goal is the same: to attract what is meant for you with positive intentions.
You’ve probably been manifesting your desires unconsciously for your whole life. Once you start doing it with intention, it comes much easier. A key aspect of manifesting is aligning your desires with your energy. Here are a few ways to do that:
- Separate yourself from negative influences
Think of what people and things in your life are draining your energy. If there is a person who is bringing you down and not encouraging you in your pursuits of what you want, it is important to step away from their influence. If you find yourself in a place that is not serving you, you should do your best to remove yourself from it. If it is hard to immediately separate yourself from negative influences, then work to separate your mind from them. When you remain in toxic environments and with toxic people, it is difficult to let in positivity and have a clear mind that is focused on your manifestations. When people do not have your best interests in mind, they can possibly be blocking you from your manifestations. Remind yourself that you are not a product of your environment, but rather you are a product of your soul and mind.
- Spend time in nature
There’s a reason why people often seek out fresh air when feeling unwell or stressed out. Nature is a comfort. It can clear your mind and help give a sense of peace. I find it easier to meditate when in nature, especially when near a body of water. It clears the mind and separates us from human problems. Things appear much clearer, and our manifestations can seem more in reach.
- Start journaling
Journaling is a popular way of manifesting. Although it is not as necessary to achieve your manifestations as people on social media may make it seem, it can aid greatly in making your manifestations clearer both to you and the Universe and also achieve more focus. Some ways to manifest through journaling are through the 3-6-9 method or by writing a thank you letter to the Universe. It is important to write about your manifestations as though you have already acquired them. When writing, think about how you would feel when you manifest your desires and try to channel that into your writing.
- Crystal guidance
Many people use crystals to aid them in their manifestations. Crystals are believed to carry positive energy with them and can help attract what you desire or protect you from what is not meant for you. It may seem daunting to try to get into using crystals. It is a good idea to do research beforehand to make sure that you can find the perfect crystal that aligns with your intentions. Once you acquire your crystal, you should make sure to establish a connection with it through meditation and align it with your intentions. From there, you can carry it with you and protect it so that it will protect you and guide you in return.
- State your affirmations
Sometimes all it takes to achieve your desires is by speaking them into existence. Determine what it is you want and put it into a simple sentence. Keep it in the present tense as though you already have what you want. For example, say “I have the job of my dreams” instead of “I will get the job of my dreams.” Each morning, look directly at yourself in the mirror and speak your intentions. Reach within yourself and try to feel the emotions you would feel if you had this. If you think you would feel joy, try to summon joy. If you align your mind with your intentions, the Universe will see that and bring to you what you want.
