Ever had the urge to satisfy that sweet tooth craving? I know we’ve all had our moments whether it’s PMS or just a little midnight craving but I have just the solution to all of your sweet dessert desires. Here are 3 delicious and delectable “hole in the wall” places that will have you begging to participate in a daily indulgence.
1. Cafe Intermezzo
This is a rather popular place and it is mainly known to be a coffee shop. Although its main attraction is coffee, the menu ranges from breakfast to lunch, dinner and plenty of desserts. The place itself has a Paris/Italy feel and the interior is designed beautifully. There are 3 locations within the Atlanta area which are Hartsfield-Jackson Airport, Ashford Dunwoody Road, and Peachtree Street. I think what I love most about this place is that they showcase all their desserts in a shiny glass display and you get to choose between a variety of cakes, cheesecakes, and pies! Visiting this restaurant is a definite must, whether it’s with close friends or a first date.
2. Mac Lab Bakery and Cafe
This place is more of a hole in the wall. I’ve actually only been here a few times, only for the simplistic reason that I always buy more than I need. Although they have a lot of different kinds of desserts, my all time favorites are macaroons. Macaroons are almost like tiny, flavored cookie wafers. I’ve heard other people describe them as “mini pretty patties” (a Spongebob reference I know, I know). They even have a wide range of flavors! Some of my favorite flavors are green tea, Nutella, chocolate, vanilla and pistachio. These small yummy treats are sure to satisfy any craving you may get!
3. Sweet Hut Bakery and Cafe
Sweet Hut Bakery and Cafe is one of the most delicious places I’ve ever been to. I believe the first time I ever went here was with my aunt maybe a year ago or so. This place is influenced by Asian/Chinese cuisine. They have sweet breads, sandwiches, bubble teas, and plenty of cake to go around. Sweet Hut has three main locations which are Buford Highway, Peachtree Street, and Pleasant Hill and they even stay open as late as 1am. This place is a perfect go to for that midnight snack!
