3 Fun Ways To Stay Fit

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UWG chapter.

If your anything like me, going to the gym or trying to get a workout in can sometimes feel like that worst option imaginable. I know we all have busy days, crazy schedules and want to enjoy the free time we decide to spend in the gym. For those of us who haven’t yet mastered the many gym contraptions or loathe the idea of running laps on a track- read on for some alternative exercises that will leave you having fun while getting fit!

Zumba Class This dance focused workout class takes the work out of workout. Find a Zumba class, and I can promise you’ll have tons of fun- even if your laughing at how bad of a dancer you may be. The best part is, you’ll burn a ton of calories without even realizing it.

Salsa Dancing: Check out local Mexican restaurants or bars in your area for a salsa night! Grab your girlfriends and have a fun night out. By the end of the night, you’ll have danced all your worries away along with those extra calories!

Bike Ride:  Changing up your normal workout routine can be really good to target other muscles in your body! It can also help you from getting bored with your workout routine. Going for a scenic morning bike ride can be a great way to start your day! The major plus: it’s a great cardio exercise and a lot better than running a mile. Its also great to tone up those legs!

Whatever exercise routine you decide to do, have fun with it! Exercise is all about taking care of yourself and feeling like your best self!
