Sick season is upon us. There’s a significant chance that the girl who sits behind you in accounting is going to give you her cold. That is, unless you practice some preventative methods!

Don’t Touch Your Face! Seriously Don’t!

It may look cool and artistic, but you play yourself every time it happens. This is how germs spread as fast as they do. If you’re going to be touching your face, make sure to wash your hands with as much frequency!

Get Your Sleep On

Some call it beauty sleep, and some call it preventative medicine. Consistently getting 8+ hours of sleep each night will give you a fighting chance of beating the season!

Make Healthy Decisions

Getting in a workout every now and then, and eating some vegetables is going to really make the game here. It might not be fun, but neither is a runny nose and persistent cough.

Make Water a Big Part of Your Routine

Dehydration and sickness often go hand-in-hand. Getting ahead of sickness requires a heavy water intake. Slide in hydration to your regular routine and it won’t be an issue!

Shots! Shots! Shots!

Getting your flu shot every year can really make or break whether you get through the season in one piece. It’s pretty accessible, doesn’t take that long, and will make a substantial difference.

Make Disinfectant Your Best Friend

You’d be surprised how much regular cleaning and disinfecting can improve your mental and physical state. Just the act of removing trash and getting rid of unwanted substances can clear up more than your pores!

Don’t Shy Away From Supplements

It doesn’t take much to throw our bodies out of whack. Any extra help you can give yourself will be greatly appreciated by your body.

Sick season may be upon us, but you don’t have to go down for the count!

Like a lot of business majors, Stephanie has a favorite Andrew Carnegie quote, and like a good communication minor, has very strong opinions on the Oxford comma. Aside from being a Stout student, Stephanie is an avid fan of Bay Area sports, Fleetwood Mac, and the amazingly perfect show Dollface.
