What is your dream job? What did you want to be when you were little? My dream job would entail sports reporting for a large network such as ESPN, Fox Sports, or CBS Sports. When I was little, I always loved playing teacher and helping others learn new things but I soon realized that as much as I love children, I could never pursue a career in education. For the longest time in junior high and high school I wanted to pursue a degree in sports medicine. Initially, that is one reason I chose to attend UW-La Crosse for school. I was accepted into the observational year for the well-known Athletic Training Program here at UW-L my sophomore year with a pre-professional track and the more I got into anatomy and physiology classes, the more I realized it wasn’t for me. Thus, I transitioned over to working towards attaining a degree in communication studies and broadcasting.

What are your future plans? Upon graduation in May, I plan on directing my entire focus on preparing for Miss Wisconsin 2015 in late June. Currently, I am applying for reporting jobs in the Madison and Milwaukee areas, as well as other locations throughout the state. Should I become Miss Wisconsin 2015, I would declare home as my “home base,” as I would be traveling a lot throughout the state during my year.  However, if that is not in God’s plan for me, I will analyze the job opportunities and figure out where I would like to move to at that point in time (most likely staying in the state in order for me to continue my involvement through my last two years of eligibility).

How can we keep up with everything you’re doing as you prepare for Miss Wisconsin? You can like the Miss Madison Capital-City Facebook page as well as following my journey on Instagram @MissMadisonCapitalCity and on Twitter @MAO_MissMadison!
