Gourmandise the Bakery
A Salt Lake City staple! If you haven’t already been here, you’ve most likely had several friends go on about how great it is it for 15+ minutes. Seriously though, decadent pastries in one of the most instagrammable place in town? No wonder this place is so popular! Not to mention they have SUCH a huge selection that will keep you questioning what you want to order. One of the most loved desserts is the White Strawberry Chantilly, a moist yellow cake layered on with chantilly cream and fresh strawberries.

D-Bar
D-Bar is a fairly new restaurant that has created quite the buzz around Salt Lake with their trendy Thai rolled ice cream. Half the fun is just watching them make the sweet treat. In the process they pour flavored milk over a freezing plate, knead the liquid into ice cream, and roll them up. You get to choose your base and toppings so it is customized to your taste. Fan Favorite: a vanilla base with banana, topped with a chocolate drizzle, coconut flakes, and mochi marshmallows.

San Diablo Artisan Churros
You may have seen/smelled the San Diablo booth at the University of Utah’s Farmer’s Market. These mini churros are not like your average Mexican treat. They are fried on site and are filled with a variety of flavors like sweet cream, Nutella, dulce de leche and seasonal specialties. Instead of just covering them in plain cinnamon and sugar, they offer a special blend of cinnamon, sugar, and cayenne pepper. All these flavors combined WILL BLOW YOUR MIND. Try a mini churro filled with Dulce de leche.
Catch them at the University of Utah Farmers Market on Thursdays from 10am- 2pm until October 5th. After that, they will be at The Ridge Market & Cafe 14886 Traverse Ridge Road Draper, UT 84020 TUESDAYS & SATURDAYS ONLY 6:30 – 9:00 p.m.
The Big O Doughnuts
The Big O Doughnuts has some of the best doughnuts in town and the whole menu is 100% VEGA. I don’t know what kind of wizardry they use to make vegan doughnuts taste even better than most doughnuts I have had, but man, keep doing what you’re doing Big O. Bonus points for great coffee and tea from Blue Copper Coffee and Cold Brew, LaBarba Espresso, Calis Chai Tea, and The Queens Tea. You can’t go wrong with a simple maple doughnut and cup of The Queens Tea Coconut Almond Lavender with steamed almond milk – it’s basically a hug in a cup.

Chedda Burger
Usually if you go to Chedda Burger your stomach is too full to even think about a milkshake. What you need to do is go there JUST for a milkshake and it will change your life.
