Let’s face it, activewear has become an integral part of every woman’s wardrobe. Sneakers and cute leggings (paired with a ponytail, of course) has become my daily ensemble. It’s cute and comfortable! I’ve done some research on quality and trendy activewear lines that are versatile for everyday use as well as hittin’ the gym (that aren’t Lululemon).

P.S. Thank you, fashion gods, for altering the trends of sportswear because I don’t think it would be very cute to wear neon leggings and leotards to class!

1. Free People Movement

Free People is well known for their tunics and distressed jean style, and their activewear line is nothing short of impressive. They are created with comfortable, state-of-the-art, stretchy textiles that also include built-in bras and compression fits. Their activewear is made so that our bodies can bend and twist in any shape or direction. The new line includes tops, bottoms and sweatshirts for multiple athletic activities: yoga, dance, surf and run.

2. Topshop

Topshop is constantly releasing the latest trends in women’s fashion. The British company has recently teamed up with Beyoncé to create a *killer* sportswear line. The new line is a very retro take on the activewear trend. The bold and sporty line includes logo sweats and tracksuits along with matching sports bras and shorts. Topshop has done a fantastic job of making sportswear into a versatile everyday outfit!

3. Forever 21

Forever 21 is the perfect option if you’re looking for affordable activewear. Their activewear line offers cute and comfortable pieces at the classic Forever 21 price that we’ve come to know and love. Unlike some of their clothing options, the activewear line shies away from vibrant colors and patterns and focuses more on softer, single tones.

4. Body Language Sportswear

Body Language is a newer sportswear brand based in Los Angeles, California. Their designers share a goal to create fresh new styles using hi-tech performance fabrics. They aim to “represent the hard work of the dynamic woman with an active lifestyle” by offering fun clothing that can be worn on and off the treadmill. Body Language Sportswear offers some pretty sweet sales on their metallic, velvet and other fabric collections!

5. Fabletics

Fabletics by Kate Hudson is a great online activewear site that offers memberships for loyal customers. They have *amazing* deals like two pairs of leggings for $24! Fabletics is stocked up on bottoms, tops and jackets in regular and plus sizes for activities like yoga, swim and running. The trendy styles are also perfect for everyday errands or a long day at school.

It’s time to put that new year’s resolution into action! Give yourself a nudge and indulge in a couple of new sportswear pieces from some of these amazing businesses!
