Check out the New Gables Fitness Studio!
Everyone’s heard of the Gables Apartments, UNH’s largest on-campus apartment complex. Just last week the Gables kicked off a grand opening of their new fitness studio located on the ground floor of the North building. Gables residents now have a place of their own to enjoy, as well as attend fitness classes. Perfect timing: No need to walk to the gym during the cold, snowy winter months. Come checkout this awesome new fitness studio!
The fitness studio is open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day for personal use or fitness classes. There are currently three main instructors at the studio who teach zumba, hip hop dance cardio and yoga.
Want to come to one of the classes but you don’t have the right gear? The fitness studio will provide gear during fitness classes. However when class is not in session it’s a BYO gear to enjoy the studio.
There are many services provided at the new fitness studio. As previously mentioned, the weekly fitness classes being offered are zumba, hip hop dance cardio and yoga. The studio is also available for your own personal fitness routines. If you don’t have a routine, the fitness studio has provided an 80” Wi-Fi TV where you can hook up your own workout! If you don’t have a workout, there is a DVD player with free fitness DVDs to borrow.
New one-time classes and nutrition programs will be added periodically throughout the semester. This can help make sure you are eating a well-balanced diet.
