To the student who feels burnt out,

I see you. I see you working hard every day to meet deadlines and try to participate in life. I see you constantly fighting yourself to get stuff done, but still have no desire to do anything. I see you in your leadership roles trying to be a good representative. I see you trying to make plans with friends but you don’t have the energy to be around them.

I understand you. I understand when you mentally can’t handle anymore. I understand when you sit in class and don’t comprehend anything that the professor is saying. I understand when assignments keep piling up and you just want lay in bed. I understand when you second guess your reason for being in college and think about dropping out.

I’ve been you.

Honestly, I still feel like this sometimes.

You just have to get up every day and try your best. That’s all you have to do. Whether its just finishing one assignment or cleaning your room. Make plans with friends and don’t think about anything else but being in that moment.

You are young so enjoy life more and don’t let this feeling overwhelm you.

You got this and you have the strength to get through this one day at a time.
