This week’s Campus Celebrity is determined to represent a prestigious organization at UH to makes sure it reaches its full potential. This organization is the NAACP at the University of Houston, and it is led by President Nneamaka Njokede.

Nneamaka is a junior this year and is majoring in Pre-Pharmacy, Public Health, and Business Administration. When she is not leading the NAACP she loves to dance in her spare time and has loved it since she can remember.

As president, Nneamaka is responsible for balancing many duties, but does it with such grace. It is apparent that she is a proud leader.

“The reason why I joined NAACP at University of Houston is to become a part of a legacy dedicated to social justice and equality for all people,” says Nneamaka.

She highly recommends that those who believe in justice, truth, and equality should join the NAACP. The organization’s objective is to build better leaders, help others become proactive, and engage the youth.

It is great to know that our university is the foundation for students like Nneamaka to make a difference.
