Fitness with Finesse: 5 GIFs that will Motivate you to Work Out

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UFL chapter.

One of the hardest things about exercising regularly is finding the motivation to do it. We often make excuses, find better things to do, or simply continue binge-watching Netflix on the couch… How do you find the will to go to the gym when you just don’t feel like getting off your butt? Here are five tips to help you develop the willpower to stay fit:

1. Set a goal: If you want to avoid sabotaging your success when it comes to fitness, don’t take on too much at once! Set a reasonable goal and strive to achieve it. Not only will you feel more accomplished, but you’ll be more motivated to set new goals to achieve.

2. Find a buddy: Working out with a friend is much better than working out alone. And with two people involved, motivation is likely to be higher between the two of you.

3. Make it fun: If you’re not having fun while you’re working out, it’s going to be difficult to make it a habit. Make sure you are doing the kind of exercise you actually enjoy! Personally, I think yoga balls are the coolest inventions ever.

4. Let your haters be your motivators: Got haters? Use them as your motivation. Nothing feels better than being able to show off your new rocking bod to those who want to see you fail.

5. And finally, if these guys can do it, SO CAN YOU!

See you next time, collegiettes™!
