FOOD & DRINK

CAMPUS EATS

Laramie is beyond lucky to have not only amazing eats on campus, but a beautiful downtown area full of delicious options. For freshmen, or other on-campus students, Washakie Dining Hall is always an option. Otherwise there are several other places on campus, delivery foods, and original meals in the downtown area.

MEAL PLANS

All freshmen living in the dorms are required to have at least a 12-meal plan. Meal plans come in 12, 15 or unlimited. This is the number of meals you can get at Washakie each week. Each meal plan also comes with a set amount of dining dollars. These are preloaded moneys on your student ID that you can use at any campus location or vending machine.

ADDITIONAL OPTIONS

Wyoming also offers other dining options on campus. In the Union you will find Pita Pit, Panda Express, Rolling Mill Cafe, Los Vaqueros, and CJ’s convenience store. Downstairs in the Union is The Gardens where you can grab a beer and some apps. If you want to grab a bite with one of the best views on campus, head over to Ross Hall and eat at Rendezvous. You can get breakfast, lunch, and coffee here. (Their nachos are phenomenal.) If you’re on the other side of the campus in the Classroom Building, check out Elements for sandwiches, salads, or a good cup o’ Joe.

WYOMING STAPLES

While you can’t go wrong grabbing food at any location, be sure to grab a coffee from Book & Bean in Coe Library. Nothing is better than being able to grab one of their weekly specials, and heading to a table to study with your coffee.

BEST PLACE TO EAT IN LARAMIE

With so many great places to eat in Laramie, we asked UW students to give their suggestions on their favorite locations: Born in a Barn, Crowbar and Grill, Roxie’s, 17th Street Cafe, Thai Spice, Corona Village

Abbey is a senior at the University of Wyoming and is currently majoring in Journalism. She couldn't imagine a world without Jesus, coffee, The 1975, Twitter or her family. You'll usually find her at a concert or cafe somewhere, which is where she spends majority of her free-time. Talking to band members after their shows is a hobby, along with thrifting & indulging in all aspects of pop culture. After college, she plans to spend more time at concerts, getting paid to write about music and bands.
