There are some people out there who have their lives together and hit the gym every day. I am unfortunately one of those people; I loathe the gym, TBH. It’s crowded, I feel super insecure and out of shape when I go, not to mention, I’d rather use my motivation to leave the house on getting a Blizzard from Dairy Queen, not running on the treadmill. So, to continue my gym-loathing path, here are 25 things I’d rather do than go to the gym.
1) Eat cold french fries.
2) Watch a terrifying horror movie, which I hate, but not as much as the gym.
3) Drive through Denver traffic.
4) Wear a CSU shirt for an entire day.
5) Walk around the block in the freezing Laramie cold.
6) Make a 3-course meal that I have to serve to someone else.
7) Study for an hour (seriously, not as bad as the gym and that’s the tea).
8) Go through airport security.
9) Drink coffee that was once hot but went cold.
10) Deal with Walmart shoppers for a day.
11) Lay in the snow in only a swimsuit.
12) Bite into a raw onion.
13) Scrape ice off my car every day for a month instead of starting my car first.
14) Work for a compliant help desk for a day.
15) Go to someone’s class and take notes for them.
16) Have zero access to social media for a day.
17) Give up eating pizza for a month.
18) Be banned from wearing cute workout clothes for my lifetime.
19) Have to re-paint a whole house.
20) Pick up trash on the side of the road for an afternoon. (Hey, at least I’m helping the environment!)
21) Walk around all day with one wet sock from the snow.
22) Give someone a foot massage.
23) Watch only black and white silent films for entertainment for the week.
24) Wait on hold with a health insurance company for 2 hours.
25) Be stuck in a cabin without WiFi for a weekend.
If you go to the gym, I’m so proud of you. I couldn’t hang for longer than a week in that place. I guess some things just aren’t meant to be.
