  1. Stock up on emergency Vitamin C

With your lab partner coughing non-stop and your roommate complaining about her stuffy nose, you definitely will want to protect yourself. Grab some packets of Vitamin C supplements from your nearest pharmacy for some needed cold prevention.

  1. Stay hydrated and eat fruit and vegetables

Things as simple as fresh produce and a good amount of water have magical powers. They’ll leave you feeling rejuvenated and ready to take on any stress that comes your way. And yes, the dining halls do have fruit and vegetables.

  1. Hit the gym or take a walk outside

Get that endorphin rush! Exercising, especially when it’s sunny outside, will have a truly amazing impact on your mood. Even just a 5 minute walk gives you a break from your long list of tasks and allows your mind to drift.

  1. Put down your phone and curl up with a good book

For the perfect escape, stay off social media and immerse yourself in that book you’ve been meaning to read for months. Avoiding screens lets you focus on the pursuits of your favorite character instead.

  1. Spend time with friends

Last, but certainly not least, there is nothing more comforting than the arms of your best friend! Laughing and having fun with the people you know and love will do wonders for your happiness.
