It’s that time of year again when people are panicking about getting the perfect bikini body for the summer. No need to panic- you’ll look great no matter what! But if you want to try some workouts and some ways to eat healthier, here are a few ideas!

1. Workout: Use the resources at TCNJ like the gym and the loop to your advantage. Go to the gym and use the elliptical or lift weights. Don’t be intimidated if you can’t finish a repetition the first time you try it, just do your best, and the more you do it, the easier it will be the next time! Or you can do your cardio by running around the loop a couple of times. Take a friend to keep you company, or bring some music to drown out that little voice in your mind that is telling you to stop and go back to your dorm and watch Netflix.

2. Healthy food: While it is not easy to eat healthy on campus it is important to make a conscious effort. However, it is especially difficult with all the temptations like the ice cream machine, the warm cookies, and the French fries. I’m not saying to completely cut those things out of your diet, just limit them, and maybe only treat yourself once a week, and find a healthy alternative to those sweet treats.

3. Workouts on YouTube: The internet is a great thing, especially with all of the resources that are available to you at the touch of your fingertips. With that said, YouTube has a plethora of workout videos that you can try if you feel like you need some instructions or a concrete plan!

4. Hydrate: It is important to drink water all throughout the day, especially in the warmer months, when you are more susceptible to becoming dehydrated. Drinking water will also help detoxify your body, release water weight, and help clear your skin.

*People are very focused on achieving the ultimate summer body, but it’s important to remember that every body is different and every body is beautiful! While this advice can be used to achieve said body, it’s important to stay healthy*
