As the days get shorter, and the weather colder, motivation to go to the gym diminishes. Whatever your excuse, these exercises allow you to get a workout all in the confines of your dorm room. Suitable for the small spaces that many students have to deal with, the following routines are sure to pump up your heart rate and keep you in great shape throughout winter.

For the Yogi: Yoga is a wonderful way to stretch out any pent up tension that midterms or essays are giving you. This routine not only stretches you, but takes it up a notch with power moves that work the abs and arms.

For the Cardio Junkie and Dancer: Nothing raises your heartbeat like dance. So let out your inner crazy that puts workout moves to a beat in this workout!

The Full Body Workouot: These exercises don’t just work your legs and butt. These moves target your entire body for a bigger burn. Pick and choose which exercises are your favorite, which you can use to enhance your own workout or use to create a whole new regiment.

Abdominals: Don’t let that flat, strong stomach end with pumpkin pie and other holiday treats. Ab workouts usually require no equipment and are perfect for your dorm room. Check out some moves here.

Everyone gets busier as the semester progresses, and skipping on the gym becomes extremely tempting. But don’t let those excuses deter you from your workout.  Use these workouts as motivation for you to get out of that chair and start moving!
