With the ending of  the school year rapidly approaching, it seems like we are so close to the finish line yet so far away. Dead week turns into dead month, and soon we are overwhelmed with all of the things we have to do before we can officially start our Summer break. To help ease all of our stress; because let’s be honest our stress levels are off the roof right about now, I have provided the best tips that I think will help all of us stay sane this dead month!

 1. Sleeeeeeeep. While our school work keeps piling on, all-nighters or nights with very little sleep become our routine. And while it seems like it pays off by getting the assignment done, in this time of no sleep we need to remember to actually sleep. Sleep is vital to our ability to function in class, in learning the material, and in staying healthy. Remember to set time aside for sleep, doctors recommend 7 – 9 hours a night!

2. Plan accordingly. When planning when to do assignments remember to be honest with yourself about how long that project/paper/homework will really take. It is easy to fool ourselves into believing that it will not take us that long, but will it really??????

3. Treat yourself. In the midst of all the madness we call school, remember to reward yourself for all of your hard work. Instead of hitting the full on tequila right away, maybe opt for something more peaceful like a nice bath, or watching a movie. Something that will not take up too much time out of your studies but still give you a break!

4. Remember.. it will all be okay. It is super easy to feel like you are walking through a dark tunnel and not see the light ( aka the end of the semester) but remember to keep walking. Remember what you’re really doing this for, and that summer is just a few weeks away!

While it may feel like you don’t have it in you to finish this semester, remember that you have made it this far! And if you can make it this far, you can make it to Summer!

Happy studying!
