How To: Look Fab 15 Minutes Post-Workout

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SMU chapter.

Whoever can’t live without their SoulCycle class, say I?  Whether you’re into saying Namaste after your early yoga sesh or pilates has become your guilty pleasure, you usually don’t have time to whisk away and meet the girls for brunch right after. Your sweat could make its own oasis and your face is redder than Taylor Swift’s lipstick. No worries, what if I told you that you could spruce yourself up in 15 minutes (or less minus the shower). I mean after all that hard work, the least you deserve are fluffy pancakes topped with warm gooey syrup.

Since you are skipping the shower, you can’t skip the remaining hygiene necessities. Make sure to bring the deodorant; I would go for a fresh scent so it could possibly resemble a shower and not B.O.  Bring a mini body spritz with an essence of your choice; I personally prefer something light and fresh! Spicy scents to me are too strong post-workout.

To calm the redness in your skin, make sure to pack some wipes that are infused with nutrients like aloe vera that can sooth your irritated skin. Go from “Go Away”, to “Hello” in one swipe! You can follow that up with a spritz or two of a hydrating facial mist which will rejuvenate your skin and make it glow.  If you would like to wear some type of foundation, I would opt for BB or CC cream. Not only are they not too heavy on your pores, but also will give you a beautiful complexion. Swipe on a little bit of bronzer, a dab of blush and maybe some illuminator and you’re already from work out blah to work it oomph. They sell compacts that are 3-in-1 to make it simpler. Add a couple coats of mascara because to let your eyes pop and lean to the brighter shades of lipstick to freshen up the way you look.

Your hair is probably a bird’s nest by now and you have less than 5 minutes for a solution, that’s why dry shampoo is your hero. Thank god for travel sized everything, or else you’d need a U-Haul truck. Use the dry shampoo and spray it a couple of inches away, then take a brush and pull your hair into an up do of your liking. Whether that is a tight bun, a low messy braid or a loose pony tail. You’re officially ready to devour your pancakes but also look good doing it!
