As the semester winds down, don’t forget to…

  1.  Eat! It may seem silly to forget, but when you are studying sometimes you forget to eat something. It’s very important to keep yourself well feed and quenched because it will help improve your focus when studying.
  2. Take naps appropriately. I say take naps appropriately because you shouldn’t take a lot of naps when you know you have a shit ton of things to do. While getting a proper amount of sleep is definitely good for you, also, getting too much sleep can be bad for you. Take your naps when you KNOW you need them.
  3. Study! With all this end of the semester stuff going on, sometimes you feel like “meh, it doesn’t matter if I study or not, I just want to be done,” but it’s IMPORTANT to study. Even if you are doing well in a class, or not, it’s still good for you to study, because who knows, you may pass that exam with a high score that bumps you up a grade.
  4.  Set time aside for yourself. With all this hustle and bustle of getting through the last few weeks of the semester, you tend to forget to set time aside for yourself. While studying is important (I mean, you do need to pass your class), taking time to oneself can have a great impact on your mental health.
  5. Realize you made it this far into the semester, and that you’re almost done! Congratulate yourself doing the best you could this semester, and when this is all over, take the break you

Hello, my name is Sa Maria Boyd. I am a Louisiana native raised in the beautiful city of Fort Worth, Texas. I am a really fun person ( at least I'd like to think). I graduated high school in 2015 from the wonderful Western Hills High School. In my four years there, I was apart of the Color Guard, Key Club, Senior Board, My goal is to travel the world and learn about different cultures so that I can help the world become more unified. I am currently attending Stephen F. Austin State University where I will be receiving my Bachelors of Arts in Mass Communications with a minor in Psychology in May of 2019. While I have been in school, I have held the positions of Social Media Director/Vice President for Her Campus SFA, and Vice President for the 6812 Chapter of the NAACP. I have also worked on the Crew, the television production organization for the Mass Communications department, KSAU 90.1--The Axe, and all three shows for SFA TV2.
