Mr. lonely strikes when I’m alone

This is when I let out a huge groan

No one can hear my cries

Or see the tears in my eye

Yes, every time my friend strikes when I’m alone it tears me up inside,

But what’s worse is when he strikes from the other side,

Giggling and teasing in a room full of friends

May look appealing through a camera lens

However, my friend still slowly creeps into the crowded room

And I can’t help but fall into sudden doom,

When he strikes when I’m alone

I’m allowed to groan and moan

When he strikes in a public place

must keep a smile on face

Fix your hairsmile wide

Make yourself presentable on the outside

These are things I say in my head

Knowing I just want to go lay in bed

My friend strikes at the worst moments

And all I can feel is this slowness

But Mr. Lonely often reassures,

That his visits will always come for sure
