1. Hydrate

It is so important to keep hydrated. Try your best to drink at least 8 glasses of water a day. It might be easiest to carry around a water bottle and refill it as needed throughout the day. Don’t be afraid to get creative and add some cucumbers or lemon to your water for an extra boost of antioxidants and vitamins.

2. Move

That’s right! Get moving. This freezing cold weather definitely has you wanting to lounge around on the couch with hot cocoa and other comfort foods in hand, but it is important to get moving! Do whatever it takes to get moving whether that be yoga, dancing, walking, or running. Dedicate 30 minutes each day to getting your heart pumping.

3. Fill your body up with nutrients

It is vital that you load your body up with plenty of nutrients! Eating fruits and veggies is key to maintaining a healthy diet. If you don’t have time to prepare your fruits and veggies, opt for a smoothie or a juice! They make fresh fruit smoothies right at Linda’s, and Target is now selling amazing organic and healthy juices.

4. Rest

In order to function properly, your body needs rest! Don’t stay up all night and ignore your body’s signs of exhaustion. Instead, prioritize your schedule and make sure that you are getting at least 8 hours of sleep each day. When your body sleeps, it recovers and recharges for the following day. So rest up and feel rejuvenated!

5. Keep your shoulders back and heart toward the sun

Keeping your shoulders back and your heart towards the sun will help keep you motivated. Having a strong positive attitude and good energy makes all the difference.
