Healthy and Quick Breakfasts to Make Before Your Morning Classes

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Purdue chapter.

I love breakfast food! I mean the all-American breakfast, consisting of pancakes, bacon, and eggs, is a pretty irresistible meal. If you’re a foodie, like myself, you practically go to sleep thinking about your breakfast. Unfortunately, this semester, I have early morning classes.  *cry face* When I wake up, I need to eat something that is quick and easy, but nutritious as well. Here are my go-to breakfasts to prepare for your early mornings!

Oatmeal with Chocolate Protein Powder

I’ve never been a big fan of oatmeal but everyone’s “what I eat in a day” videos on Tiktok always include oatmeal or avocado toast. When I was a kid, my mom begged me to eat oatmeal, but I never really got into the trend. So, I thought I would try oatmeal again. I put a scoop of chocolate protein powder in my oatmeal and top it either with raspberries or bananas and it tastes absolutely delicious! It’s very easy to make. Combine almond milk and oats in a bowl and microwave until desired thickness. Mix in a scoop of protein powder and top with your favorite fruit!

Egg Scramble

This literally takes five minutes to make, and it is so filling. Take two or three eggs and crack them into a pan and cook. Mix in cheese, bacon, ham, or green peppers to make a yummy scramble.

Smoothie Bowls

If you have a blender, this is a super simple recipe. Take your choice of frozen fruits and blend with almond milk into an ice-cream constancy. Pour into a bowl and top with coconut flakes, granola, almond butter, or dark chocolate chips! My go-to is a strawberry-banana bowl with cinnamon almond butter and granola.

I hope you try these yummy breakfasts! They’re super filling and will give you enough energy to tackle your day.
