5 Female Fitness Influencers Whose Workouts Make Me Forget I’m Anxious

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at PSU chapter.
(in no particular order)

I’ve struggled with anxiety since I was little and figuring out new ways to combat it has always been important to me. A few years ago, I discovered that the number one way for me to calm my anxiety is to work it out.

I think I’ve tried almost every single workout video on YouTube. After a thorough review, I can genuinely say that these five female fitness influencers are my favorites because they give me the endorphins I need to kick my anxiety’s butt.

Also, did I mention their workouts always leave you feeling the burn?

1. Bailey brown – @bailey Brown

Bailey Brown is my go-to fitness influencer and the reason I’m now addicted to pilates (not even kidding…ask my friends). Her workouts leave you feeling motivated as well as mentally and physically connected to your body.

Bailey specializes in simple but effective pilates movements that deeply target specific muscle groups. I’m convinced this woman gave me abs.

2. Sami Clarke – @Sami clarke

Sami Clarke is all about creating the best version of you. Her workouts always leave you sweating and smiling.

Personally, my favorite videos by Sami are her intensive ten-minute ab workouts on YouTube because they always leave my core sore the next day.

3. Eylem Abaci – @Eylem abaci

In her Instagram bio, Eylem Abaci describes herself as a “virtual fitness buddy of 480k on youtube,” and she’s not wrong. Eylem is the fitness buddy everyone needs in their life.

Her workouts are intense but always super fun since she always has great music playing in the background of her videos. You won’t help but dance along to the music as you break a sweat.

4. Johanna Devries – @growwithjo

If you want to feel empowered while working out, then look no further. Johanna Devries has a variety of great workouts on her channel, but her HIIT workouts never fail to make me feel proud of myself after I’m finished.

She’s motivating and WILL get you to hold that plank even though your arms are shaking. What more could you want?

5. LILLY SABRI – @LILY SABRI

Last (but certainly not least) is Lilly Sabri. And I know what you’re thinking, “Ugh, not another pilates-based workout instructor,” but trust me, she’s incredible.

She encourages you to keep moving and creates her workouts in order to make her audience feel good as well as get results fast. Even though she is last on this list, she is absolutely one of the best pilates instructors I’ve ever had.

Let these five influencers inspire you to fight back against your anxiety, while also getting a good workout in!
