Is your dorm room unbelievably ugly and boring? Do you desperately need something to cover your depressingly barren walls with? Are you broke like me? Well then fear not dear readers, because I’ve come up with the perfect solution! These super cute letters I made. In total they cost me about 10 bucks and that’s because I spent waaay too much money on fake flowers.

I’m pretty lazy so I just bought the cardboard letters for about $1 each. You can get them at pretty much any craft store, but the price varies depending on the size you get and where you shop. I then spraypainted them gold. I used a metallic gold spray paint and did about 2 coats on each letter. Please do this outside I don’t want you getting high and then blaming it on my innocent DIY.

Next I arranged the way too expensive flowers (that I got super carried away with while shopping) on my letters. I wanted to make sure it wouldn’t look tacky or under decorated before they were permanately glued on. I also wanted to make sure all my colors worked together. I took pictures of each letter so I could remember my fabulous flower layout. Next I took my invaluable glue gun (best 4 dollars I’ve ever spent) and glued all those flowers on. Some of the flowers had an uneven base, but I just cut them down until they lay flat.

That’s literally it. You don’t need to do anything else except stick a couple strips of command velcro on them to hang them up and you’re done. Don’t you feel better knowing your room is no longer a depressingly bland abyss where joy goes to die? Of course you do! You’re welcome.
