Springtime is finally here! The sun is shining, the birds are chirping and beach season is just around the corner; but although it feels like the prime time start getting back in shape after a long, lazy winter, nothing seems as unbearable as leaving the sunshine to hit the dark indoor gym. And while going for a jog is the obvious answer, it’s important to vary your workout routine so as to avoid injury and keep things fun. Here are a few of my favorite outdoor workouts to try when you can’t bear to leave the gorgeous weather. Oh, and don’t forget your sunscreen!

Love Grown Food’s Park Bench Workout:

This is a personal favorite of mine, because it is so accessible and works the whole body. I typically accompany this workout with a run. Typically, I warm up at home, run to the park, complete the workout and run home.

Coconuts and Kettlebells Stay on Track Workout:

If you live near a high school or college track, be sure to try out this workout. While you have the ability to control your own speed and intensity, the track environment pushes you to nail those 400m runs, and the conditioning between rounds keeps you on your toes. Your legs and lungs will be killing you in the moment, but trust me, the runner’s high is so real.
