20 Memes That Accurately Represent College Students Who Love Napping

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Mt Holyoke chapter.

Napping is a skill that I feel I have really mastered in my college years. There are many benefits to taking naps so it is important to do (sometimes). Unfortunately, naps are often underrated by college students, who are often sleep deprived, overworked, and overcommited. Self-care is important and sometimes that includes making sure you are getting enough sleep to keep your body functioning well, and so naps can be a great way to jumpstart your energy and keep you going for the rest of the day. However, some days we may take it too far and nap when we actually don’t need it, so here are 20 of my favourite relatable memes for all my fellow nap lovers out there!

  1. When you regret some of your biggest mistakes when you were young

2. When you convince yourself that you’ll wake up naturally without an alarm set, but you oversleep and wake up on December 31st and it’s almost 2019.

3. When you have the longest reading and you take a break from reading by closing your eyes.

4. When you nap so hard you need another nap to recover

5. Napping, also good for classic avoidance

6. This is how the best friendships and relationships are formed.

7. Naps really do make long road trips much shorter and more bearable

8. When your work keeps you apart from your one true love and you’re devastated.

9. They say you should do what you love, so…

10. You really don’t know what you’re going to get when someone wakes up from a nap, but it can only go two ways

11. Any place is a potential nap spot TBH

12. Chuckie is so young, but oh so wise (and he has his priorities straight)

13. I still had 5 minutes left until I had to wake up, damn it!

14. When your friends and family complain about your napping habits, and you make a note to address their concerns later

15. When you’re struggling with your homework and convince yourself that after a nap you will be way more articulate in your responses

16. When your darkest side comes out…to nap

17. When you wake up ravenous after a good nap

18. The most frustrating thing is trying to nap, but your brain apparently didn’t get the memo

19. When you have solid plans set up for the weekend and someone tries to break them by inviting you somewhere

20. When you’re a sleep deprived senior writing a thesis, and you go around giving pertinent life advice to everyone wherever you go.
