With the weather cooling down and the desire to stay snuggled under a blanket all day, what better time for TV stations to start up new seasons of all the best shows! In case you are looking for a new show to get hooked on or just haven’t kept track of when your guilty pleasure is coming back, Her Campus MSU is providing you with a list of some of the most popular TV shows and all the information you need to get hooked!

1. Dancing With the Stars—Mondays at 8:00pm on ABC

This season’s cast is filled with familiar faces from the energy of “Snooki” to the brains of “Bill Nye the Science Guy” guarantees a great season of dancing to watch while you can do some homework at the same time.

2. How I Met Your Mother—Mondays at 8:00pm on CBS

A classic show with episodes on Netflix in case you need to catch up, this show returns for its 9th and final season with hilarious plots and the handsome Neil Patrick Harris.

3. Modern Family– Wednesdays at 9:00pm on ABC

Voted one of the funniest shows on television, this 30 minute program guarantees to cheer you up if you had a rough day of class or just need to unwind. Feel like you’re at home while watching such a crazy and energetic family remind you of why you’re away at college.

4. New Girl—Tuesdays at 9:00pm on Fox

With a perfect cast of genuinely hilarious people New Girl offers a laugh out loud half hour of smiles. Back for its third season this show keeps gaining momentum and more followers through the awkward life of Jessica Day (Zoey Deschanel).

5. The Voice—Mondays and Tuesdays at 8:00pm on NBC

Unlike the long-running show “American Idol” this show is cast by only the voice and no extra theatrics. Returning with it’s original judges, this show is a favorite to have in the background while reviewing some notes or catching up on some homework.

6. Big Bang Theory—Thursdays at 8:00pm on CBS

Another feel good comedy, this award winning show is back for its 7th season to make you groan in annoyance at Sheldon Cooper, the know it all, and laugh in pity at Howard and his misplaced sexual jokes.

7. American Horror Story—Premiere October 9th at 10:00pm on FX

Returning for its 3rd season, AHS is back to scare its audience make them jump at the slightest creak in the door. With a separate plot entirely from the first 2 seasons, this show is an easy one to pick up without having to go catch up on the first 2 seasons.

8. Biggest Loser– Premiere October 8th at 8:00pm on NBC

One of the greatest shows to make a difference in the world is back helping people beat obesity and start a healthier lifestyle. This feel good show is also a great motivator for you to apply these tips to the way you live as well.

9. Ravenswood—Premiere October 22 at 9:00pm on ABC Family

From the producers of Pretty Little Liars comes this new show about 5 teens joined together by a curse put on their town years ago. This drama and mystery is said to have the same suspense element of PLL and assures to have you jumping in your seat.

Enjoy this fall and winter season with some of the most popular shows on TV today while surviving without On Demand by following this schedule. Whether you need an hour or two of down time or you have no homework that night, not much is better than turning off the lights, snuggling up with a blanket and watching your favorite show.
