Every holiday season, my TikTok For You Page becomes filled with Advent calendar unboxings. These videos can range from content creators opening an Advent calendar worth more than $1,000 to ones that are only worth $20. No matter the price range or the Advent calendar type, I am always enthralled; I find myself watching the entire video, which leads me to see a bunch of Advent calendar unboxings on my FYP. Therefore, I have compiled a list of what I believe are the best Advent calendars based on their price and what comes inside them.Â
- Target Advent calendars
These Advent calendars are pretty popular this year, as I have seen many people unboxing each of them. There are three types: the beauty calendar, the skincare calendar, and the spa calendar. Each one offers a mix of full-sized and sample-sized products based on that calendar’s theme. I personally like the beauty and the skincare calendar the best, as I feel they have the best products and have the most value. However, the best thing about these Advent calendars is that they’re only $20! You do not have to break the bank to get someone a cute and trendy Advent calendar. These calendars are wonderful because they are cheap but still contain plenty of amazing products to try. If you are looking for an Advent calendar for either yourself or a friend, I would definitely recommend one of these!
- CVS 12 Days of Beauty Advent calendar
The next Advent calendar on this list is also one that is both cheap and still packed with good products. For only $25, you get products like the EOS vanilla cashmere lotion, the Maybelline Sky High mascara, and many other products from popular brands. It also comes with a wide range of products, meaning it does not specifically focus on skincare or makeup. I like this because you can try out a variety of products and not finish the Advent calendar with 12 new skincare products you probably won’t even use. This Advent calendar is a must for anyone who is into anything beauty-related and wants to try out a range of trendy items!
- Selfridges Beauty Advent calendar
This next Advent calendar is much pricier than the first two, but the products it contains are mind-boggling. It is priced at around $300, but it claims a value of over $1,000. While this Advent calendar is definitely pricey, the products it contains are worth it. Not only does it have mostly full-sized products, but they are also from very popular brands such as Laneige, Gisou, and Amika. I have seen a few content creators open this Advent calendar now, and I am blown away by the products it contains each time. If it were not so expensive, it would be higher on this list. However, the current price definitely bumps it down a few places. However, if you are looking for a more high-end Advent calendar and are willing to spend the money, I would strongly recommend this one.Â
- Revolve Beauty Advent calendars
Revolve came out with two Advent calendars this year — a 12-day one and a 25-day one. Both of them are absolutely amazing. The 12-day one is priced at $90, and the 25-day one costs $150. Both of these calendars contain so many wonderful products, including ones from brands like Summer Fridays, Ouai, and Olaplex. Each one includes a different mix of products, so you could buy both and get a large amount of high-quality products if you really wanted to. These calendars are also not unreasonably priced for the amount of good products they have. If you are looking to buy a nicer Advent calendar but not spend an exorbitant amount of money, I would go with one of these calendars.Â
- The Vogue Advent calendar
This next Advent calendar is also pricey, but once again, the products are top-tier. It contains products for your hair, makeup, skincare, and even an eye mask that massages the eyes. The products are very diverse, and Vogue says the calendar comes with 29 full-sized products spread across 25 days. The diversity of products is stunning, as most other calendars I have seen do not come with such a unique blend of products. I also like this Advent calendar because it comes with a few jewelry pieces, like a bracelet and necklace, which most other Advent calendars do not contain. Even so, this calendar is still way out of my budget, so for now I can just admire it and watch other people unbox it.Â
There are, of course, so many more Advent calendars at all different price ranges filled with a variety of products. That being said, I think the ones listed here offer the best products for what they cost. While some of them are more expensive, the products they contain are of a much better quality. However, there are still some relatively inexpensive Advent calendars that still contain a lot of popular brands. Hopefully, as the Advent calendar season continues, I will keep seeing people on TikTok unboxing them and I am sure there are still so many I have not seen!
