There is something magical about the holiday season — the lights, the music, and of course, the movies. Grab a cup of hot chocolate and snuggle up with a blanket because these movies always bring me into the holiday spirit. Here are my top five movies that I always make time to watch around Christmas.Â
- ELF: There’s no surprise this made the list. A holiday classic for many, and for good reason. It’s a funny, lighthearted reminder to not take everything so seriously, enjoy the moment, and bask in the holiday cheer.Â
- Klaus: This Netflix film is a must see. The perfect story with a moving soundtrack, plus an enchanting art style sets it up for one of the most beautiful Christmas movies ever made. This underrated film has me excited each year to watch it again.
- The Holiday: A movie full of the warm fuzzy feelings we all crave during December. Everyone loves a romantic movie to snuggle up with on the couch, have a few laughs, and even maybe shed some tears.Â
- The Santa Clause: Another classic that holds a lot of nostalgia and memories. Tim Allen delivers in this movie and its sequels, which seem to get better with every watch.
- The Princess Switch: If you’re like me and love everything Hallmark, you will love this movie. Vanessa Hudgens plus a sweet, charming, love story based around Christmas time equals a perfect Christmas movie.Â
Whether you want comedy, romance, nostalgia, or Christmas magic, these movies have you covered. Grab a blanket, get some popcorn, hit play and watch as some magic comes to life.
