There is never a greater feeling than a snow day — staying in and watching the world outside turn into a winter wonderland. Whenever I have one of these days, I romanticize so many little things about my day to make me feel better about having a day to myself.

Self-care

On a day stuck inside with nothing to do, what is more perfect than taking some me-time? There’s nothing better than taking that everything shower you’ve been putting off, or a long bath when it’s freezing outside. Doing your skin care, maybe changing your bedding? These are things that feel a whole lot better when the world feels like it’s on pause.

Pajamas, pajamas, pajamas

The most crucial part of a day at home amidst a snowstorm is wearing pajamas all day long. For me, getting dressed is just changing out of pajamas into new ones. They must be cozy and warm, and bonus points if it’s a matching set you love.

Take a walk

If you can’t be convinced to spend your entire day in bed, there is always something quaint about bundling up to take a short walk through beautiful winter weather. Take your feel-good music, take your dog, or take your roommate — just remember to take your hat and gloves!

Cook up some comfort food

There’s nothing like bad weather to make me crave the warmth of my kitchen. I love cooking and baking when the view is nothing but a blizzard outside my window. Luckily, If you’re like me, you should have plenty of ingredients in the fridge that you were probably going to let expire at your disposal!

Watch the perfect media

Curl up with your favorite book, watch a comfort show, or a movie you have been wanting to see. A perfect lazy winter day must end with whatever media is perfect for you!

If you are in a slump after winter break, and feeling the effects of the weather, don’t forget to take some time to take care of yourself! You deserve it!
