The new year is here! In 2024, journaling is in. There are countless of ideas and inspiration for creating aesthetically pleasing pages to keep track of your year. Check out these ideas to make your 2024 journal the best it can be!

  1. Monthly Playlist Page

A monthly playlist page would be an amazing page to reflect on at the end of the year to see how your music taste evolved. Simply reference your Spotify or Apple Music playlists to see what songs you’ve added by date, and organize them into a visual to separate them into monthly playlists.

  1. Doodle a Day Page

If you often find yourself doodling in class or in your spare time, this page is perfect for you. By limiting your drawing space to a simple square, this page should be relatively easy to commit to by drawing a doodle each day. The possibilities are endless here, with opportunities to draw whatever comes to your mind and with as much color as you’d like.

  1. Bookshelf Page

This page is perfect for avid readers. A bookshelf page can provide a creative and visual way to display the books you’ve read throughout the year. This page can be repeated monthly or yearly, depending on how much you read. Add pops of color to this page by printing out mini versions of the book cover to place in your journal.

  1. Goals Page

Tracking goals to start off the new year. Almost everyone sets some sort of new year’s resolutions for themselves, and dedicating a page to showcase them is a perfect way to hold yourself accountable for them throughout the year. These goals can be generalized or be grouped together to set specific deadlines to achieve them at different points throughout the year.

  1. Places Traveled Page

If you have big plans to travel in 2024, this page is a must-have in your journal. This page can be approached in a variety of ways, but my favorite method is to draw a map of the world and use pops of color to shade in where you’ve traveled. You could also add polaroids or print out pictures from your vacations to put into your journal to highlight specific memories you have for each place.

It is time to get started on your new 2024 journal! Hopefully these ideas will help you get a good start into putting down some creative ideas to fill up your journal so you can look back on it at the end of the year.
