I don’t know about you, but autumn is my favorite season. Every autumn, I seem to experience this profound sense of finding myself, or perhaps a new version of myself, once the leaves start to change and the weather finally cools down. I find autumn to be an incredibly tender, reflective, and nostalgic time, with opportunities for personal growth and embracing change around every corner. I’m also a sucker for anything pumpkin flavored, I love thick sweaters, and the fall colors in Michigan are really hard to beat.
Now, like every hopeless main character, I need a good playlist to listen to during times of change and growth (and while I dramatically gaze out of rainy windows, or while creepily make deep eye contact with strangers). I am a sophomore here at MSU and this is my first semester living on campus, so needless to say I have experienced a considerable amount of change over these past few weeks. Amongst all the chaos and emotions, though, this tender collection of songs has been there for me to remind myself of where I came from, where I am, and where I’m going. These songs have, in a way, reintroduced me to myself. So kick back, throw on your coziest flannel, shamelessly indulge in a good pumpkin spice latte, and find yourself in these songs. Happy listening!
