When I first started knitting again a few months ago, I was mesmerized by the knitting community on Instagram. Everyone is so supportive and willing to share tips and tricks, and knitters are so active with posting current WIPs and creative inspiration. The diversity and aesthetic of creators on knitstagram made me pick up my needles again, and they continue to be some of my biggest sources of inspiration. These are 5 of my favorite knitstagrams!

1. karas.knit.eng (Kara)

Kara’s knitstagram is filled with the chunky knits of your dreams. From sweaters to cardigans, bucket hats, and crop tops, her account has everything. She also writes easy-to-follow patterns that are generally accessible to beginners, so go check out her account and her patterns!

2. Petiteknit (Mette)

When I first started knitting, Petite Knit’s page was mesmerizing. Her pieces are so classic and timeless, but she has quite a few patterns that are beginner-friendly. In fact, her Louisiana Sweater was the first pattern that I ever knit! That makes her page one of my favorites.

3. Typical Bliss (Tiffany)

I originally discovered Tiffany’s platform on YouTube, and her videos were one of the main reasons I got back into knitting. She is so genuine and passionate about being part of the knitting community, and I love watching her progress videos and vlogs.

4. Knitsngiggs (Allie)

Allie’s classic style of knitting is what originally made me love her account so much. But recently, she has been posting more colorful knits and I’m so here for it! As a college student, her reels about tips for styling knits and romanticizing the student-knitter life are always fun to watch.

5. Camel.knits (Camille)

This account is one of my go-to inspo accounts for summer knits. Camille posts so many tiny knit tops with the cutest color combos and details, and I’m completely obsessed. I have so many of her posts saved in my “to-knit” folder, and it’s so hard to choose which ones I will commit to buying yarn for. Needless to say, I’m beyond excited to get started on summer knits!

Whether you’re looking for knitting inspiration or just appreciate the creativity and handiwork that goes on behind the scenes of a knit piece, the knitstagram community is a great place to be. I hope you get a chance to check out these accounts and give them a follow!
