How to Unwind After a Stressful Day

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Montclair chapter.

I know that after a long stressful day all that you long to do is lay down and relax but if want the ultimate guide to how to properly unwind listen up loves!

1. Listen to Music

The first step is to turn on any kind of music that you find to be relaxing. For me, I find that in listening to some 90s R&B it soothes my soul, especially after a long tiresome day.

2. Set the mood

Lighting up some candles and/or using an oil diffuser is also the perfect way to unwind as well. The aroma that either the candle or oil diffuser releases really helps to ease your mind.

3. Self Care is the Best Care

By taking a warm bubble bath and or shower will help loosen up your tense muscles. After you can moisture yourself and spray yourself in your favorite fragrance. I mean who doesn’t want to smell good?

4. A Full Stomach Equals a Happy Girl

Whether you order takeout foods or cook a meal for yourself as long as you end the day on a full stomach there is no doubt in my mind that you won’t have content with life at that point.

5. Watch TV/Movies

Last but not least watch a Romance movie or any sitcoms you’d love to watch. From movies like Love & Basketball to TV shows like Friends or Fresh Prince of Belair; anything you choose.
