You get one body, my darling. You get one chance at life. “Yeah, yeah, yeah I know this” is what you’re thinking. But when you take a step back and actually put that into perspective that can get real, fast.

Certainly, your body will change as you grow up and mature, but ultimately you are in control as to what happens to it. You’re in charge of what goes in it. You can choose to eat raspberries, avocados, salmon, and almonds; healthy foods, the type your body craves. You decide how many active minutes you get per day. While your goal should be 10,000 minutes a day (or approximately 3 hours), your body will love you if you double that. It’s completely up to you how much you are willing to sweat out a day. You are the one who swallows water.

Your body is your attached friend. You need to be devoted to taking care of it. You are the only one who can do this job, the job of being a caregiver to yourself. I am proud of how you look and all you have done. But if you’re anything like me, you still have image goals you want to reach. You can do it, but only you can.

Push yourself. Run your miles faster, drink an extra glass of water, put more bananas in your cart and forget the brownie and baking aisle. Then, cozy up in bed earlier to catch some extra sleep.

But most of all, love yourself.
