Affirmations play an important role in bolstering mental health by fostering optimism, eliminating negative thoughts, & maintaining focus on life values & goals.

#1 Post-it Method: On a daily, bi-weekly, monthly, or even one-time basis, write down affirmations for yourself and/or others. Then, put the post-it notes where you will see them (e.g. your planner, mirror, desk, etc.).

#2 Affirming Sleep Method: Go to Youtube and search for “sleep affirmations”, “healing frequencies” or click on the link below to listen to affirmations while you sleep.

#3 Morning Prosperity: Use your morning routine to assure yourself of how you intend to spend your day living a life according to your values.

#4 Evening Gratitude Journal: Make it a daily habit to grab your very own gratitude journal & dot down 3-5 things for which you are grateful. Use bullet points to indicate why you are grateful for those things.

#5 Mini Breaks: Take time to walk Uptown in beautiful Oxford, Ohio, savor a coffee or snack, and meditate (perhaps with an app such as Simple Habit). Take time for fresh air, good nutrition, and relaxation. Use breaks to find appreciation for the little things in life.
