It’s the beginning of the semester and you’re feeling good! The sun is shining, you’re working out, you don’t have assignments and your life is generally very together.

2. Halloweek

You know midterms are coming up, but you also don’t want to miss the Halloweek hype, because what type of person would you be if you missed this opportunity to party and dress up however you liked? At least that’s what you tell yourself.

3. Midterms

And now you suddenly remember why you couldn’t wait for the summer and are counting the days until Christmas break. This period is kind of a blur, unless you were on top of things (major props to you!), but you’re optimistic and stressed (mostly stressed). Let’s be real: you weren’t ready.

4. Post-Midterm, Pre-Finals Madness

You keep telling yourself that you deserve a break because you pulled through during midterms, but you’re also aware of how rapidly finals and all your upcoming paper/project deadlines are approaching. So what is the logical response? Procrastination.

5. Finals

You finally get it together and study because you know it’s the final stretch and the last chance for you to bring up your grades. You start calculating how much you need to get a [insert grade here] in your class, and also start living at libraries and cafes.

But you don’t mind because your brain’s got your back, and you end up getting the grade that you wanted.
