Finding makeup products that meet all your expectations can be hard. There are a variety of brands, prices and product types in the market to consider. There are also many beauty influencers telling you what to buy or what to not buy. To figure out which makeup products were worth repurchasing for me, I had to take on the challenge of trying them for the first time, relying on reviews from Sephora, Ulta Beauty, or beauty influencers on social media. Here is a list of products that I would definitely buy again for my makeup routine. I’ve been loyal to them for years because of their quality, price and popularity.
Rare Beauty – Positive Light Tinted Moisturizer Broad Spectrum SPF 20 Sunscreen
This skin tint is perfect for people with dry or combination skin. It has a natural finish but has good coverage. Plus, it has skin care in it too! I bought it for the first time when I was a beginner at doing full faces of makeup, and I absolutely loved it because Rare Beauty was already one of my favorite makeup brands. This tint is not as heavy as a classic foundation but still gives you great coverage. It used to be sold at Sephora but now most of the time it is sold out or unavailable. You can find it at Ulta Beauty for $30 or on the Rare Beauty official website. It comes in a variety of shades.
Rare Beauty – Soft Pinch Liquid Blush
Continuing with Rare Beauty, this liquid blush is the type of overrated product that deserves to be overrated. At first, I was scared that if I applied this blush wrong, I would end up looking like a clown, but I was completely mistaken because it is very simple to use. You should apply just one dot on each cheek and blend it with a makeup brush or sponge. I love this blush because it’s almost infinite, has a variety of shades (my favorite shade is “Happy”) and if you combine it with the Positive Light Liquid Luminizer you will get a nice glow as a result. It’s not a must for me, but the highlighter is still pretty. My favorite shade is “Mesmerize.” You can find the Soft Pinch Liquid Blush at Sephora, Ulta Beauty or on the Rare Beauty official website for $25.
Tower 28 Beauty – Swipe All-Over Hydrating Serum Concealer with 18-HR Wear
In the middle of my search on TikTok for a concealer that would meet all my expectations (hydrating and good coverage) I found the Tower 28 Beauty Swipe All-Over Hydrating Serum Concealer with 18-HR Wear. It had so many good reviews that I decided to buy it. I tried it and the reviews were not wrong. It has good coverage and a very natural finish that looks good on my daily makeup routine! It is available only at Sephora and the Tower 28 Beauty official website for $24.
PATRICK TA – Major Headlines Double-Take Crème & Powder Blush Duo
Upon seeing so many suspiciously good reviews for this blush combo duo, I thought, “Why not buy it?” Along with my blush combo by Rare Beauty this blush palette has done wonders in my makeup routine because it is very pigmented, has a variety of pretty shades (my favorite shade is “She’s a Doll”) and lasts very long. It is available only at Sephora and the PATRICK TA official website for $40. Yes, it’s expensive but definitely worth it!
DIOR – Backstage Glow Maximizer Face Palette
If you are thinking about buying any makeup product from a luxury brand, I would recommend you look at the Dior Backstage Glow Maximizer Face Palette. This palette is mainly a highlighter palette but can be used as blush, bronzer and eyeshadow. When I bought it for the first time I said, “this palette is so small and so expensive, how could it possibly be worth it?” I thought I was going to regret it until it arrived, and I saw that it was somewhat bigger than I expected. The colors looked nicer in person, and finally when I tried it, I ended up loving it. This product is available for $55 at Sephora and the DIOR official website.
ONE/SIZE by Patrick Starrr – On ‘Til Dawn Mattifying Waterproof Setting Spray
I used to not wear setting spray after finishing my makeup routine, and I used to complain about how my makeup didn’t last long after an entire day. When I realized I needed a setting spray, I said, “I want something waterproof.” While watching reviews on TikTok I found so many reviews about this setting spray and I decided to test it, so I purchased the mini version. I really like that my makeup still looks glowy even if this is setting spray is supposed to have a matte finish. Also, it is actually waterproof because every time I want to do my lashes the eyelash curler touches my skin, and even though I have a full face of makeup on, nothing comes off. It is available on both the Sephora and the ONE/SIZE official website. The standard size costs 34 dollars and the mini size costs $18.
Maybelline – Super Stay Vinyl Ink Liquid Lipcolor
I have been loyal to this lipstick for the last two years. At first, I was unsure whether this product was just a simple lip gloss pretending to be a long-lasting lipstick. I genuinely liked it when I tried it because it stayed on for long without making my lips dry (makeup advice: always use a lip moisturizer before doing your lip combo). This product comes in a variety of shades and is available in any drugstore, grocery store and Ulta Beauty. The price might be a little confusing because different stores run at different prices, but it is around $11 to $14.
