The Perfect Spring Playlist

Colleen Minnaugh Student Contributor, Loyola University Maryland
This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at LUM chapter and does not reflect the views of Her Campus.

When I was a freshman at Loyola University, I decided to join HerCampus’s writing team. I barely knew what I was doing and my first few articles were all silly little reviews and “how-to” articles (not that I don’t still do that)! One of my favorite articles that I have ever written for HerCampus was written during these first few baby steps of article writing, and it was a Fall playlist that I curated from all of my top songs that I had been listening to as the weather got colder. So, without it seeming like I am copying my 18-year-old self and her ideas (which were pretty good ideas, not going to lie), I decided to put together the perfect spring playlist! Whether you listen to it whilst walking to class, lying out on the quad, or doomscrolling in bed with the window open, it is the quintessential springtime experience, filled with good vibes and songs that make the winter blues fade away like a leaf in the breeze!

Here is the link to the Spotify playlist I made for easy listening :)

Colleen Minnaugh is a junior at Loyola University Maryland. She is originally from Atlanta GA, and is a writing major with an English minor. Writing and reading have been a huge part of her life since middle school; from AP Literature, to dramatic writing class, she has always known that writing would play a large role in her life.
Colleen has been working at her local, all female owned and operated bookstore since she was fifteen years old, leading her to be exposed to many different kinds of writing styles and genres, but she quickly discovered that classic literature holds a very special place in her heart. From the stories told by the likes of Charlotte Bronte, Franz Kafka, to even the occasional contemporary author such as Sylvia Plath, Colleen is absolutely captivated by the beloved classics.
Colleen will mainly aim to write opinion based pieces on current events, pop culture, politics, book reviews, movie recommendations, and so much more! She will publish an article about every two weeks, and she hopes that you enjoy them each time!
