Microwavable mug desserts. Everyone’s heard of them, but have you ever actually tried them? Well, we did and here’s how they turned out!

Vanilla Mug Cake

Review:

This was the simplest cake out there with very easy-to-follow instructions. It says to microwave for 1 minute, but it definitely took a bit longer. Microwave times vary, so keep checking it every 15 seconds. An easy way to check if it’s cooked all the way through is by sticking a toothpick in the center. If it has batter on it, then you should stick it in a little longer. This would be perfect to make for someone’s birthday or if you want a little piece of cake! Be careful with the icing though…it dyes your mouth blue!

Pumpkin Spice Mug Cake

Recipe Here!

Review:

This was so delicious, warm, and perfect for fall! Once again, it was a little tricky to get the microwave times right so this one came out a little spongy, but it still tasted just like pumpkin pie! I didn’t have or know what Allspice was so I just used pumpkin spice and it worked out really well. Make sure to take this one out when you see it begin to separate from the sides!

Oreo Cheesecake

Review:

This was my absolute fav out of them all! It was really easy to make, the microwave times weren’t as hard to figure out, and it was made out of oreo (Who doesn’t love oreos?!). It did take a couple hours in the fridge, but it was so worth it. If you like bigger pieces of oreo like me, dont crush them up as finely. Also, make sure you notice that the ingredient is egg whites so don’t put the yolk in with it! Don’t know how to separate the yolk from the white? We’ve got you covered! Here’s a video that explains a super cool and easy way to do it!

These recipes were so easy to make, but it would be hard to do in a dorm considering you need so many ingredients and kitchen supplies that no one actually brings to their dorm. So, you’ll probably have to find a kitchen to whip up these yummy desserts!
