What are Midterm Elections?

All members of the House of Representatives (435 seats) and around one third of the Senate (35 seats) are up for the Nov. 6 election. Although the Midterm Election may not be as flashy as the presidential election, it is still integral to the foundation of the United States. The legislative branch creates policy and balances the power of both the executive and judicial branches. Whether you hate who is in office or love them, please exercise your privilege and your right to vote.

How to vote:

  • Verify that you are registered to vote by checking here.
    • Ohio’s deadline to register is Oct. 9
  • Register with your
    • Driver’s License
    • Full Name
    • Date of Birth
    • Address
    • Social Security number*

*Please make sure you only enter your personal information on known devices with a safe network.

  • Request your absentee ballot if you are unable to vote in person.
    • Deadline to request absentee ballot Nov. 3.
    • Deadline to have your ballot postmarked Nov. 5.
    • Last minute absentee ballot drop off: 7:30 pm at your designated polling location.
  • Vote in person on Nov. 6 from 6:30 am to 7:30 pm
