Finals are officially here and it’s easy to exhaust yourself over all of the work and studying you have to do. Stressing about your exams and projects can leave you feeling like you have no energy whatsoever, but we are here to help you solve that issue! Instead of reaching for another cup of coffee, try some of these more natural and nurturing ways to keep your energy up so you can end this semester with a bang.

Green tea

If you really need some caffeine but are annoyed with how jittery coffee makes you feel (not to mention the awful crashes) brew yourself a cup of green tea. The caffeine content is low enough to prevent you from having crashes and caffeine-induced anxiety, but it’s also enough to bring your energy up.

Diffuse eucalyptus oils

Eucalyptus is known for helping with focus and purifying the air. The scent is very fresh and revitalizing and diffusing it will not only help with energy but it’s relaxing as well. When you’re calm it’s easier to get more work done!

Exercise

Take a study break and move your body. Getting your blood flowing is a great way to renew your energy and a good way to give your brain a break. You can go to the gym, go for a walk, do yoga, anything. Just move!

Drink up and hydrate, girl

Water, water, water! Hydrating properly will always boost your energy because your body thrives on water. Make sure you keep a water bottle nearby while you’re studying and taking your exams.

Roll on peppermint oil

Applying peppermint oil to your temples, neck, and wrists is a great way to give yourself a little pick-me-up. You can buy peppermint oil in rollerball form and use it to roll onto your body.

There are a lot of more loving ways to energize yourself that don’t include cranking up your caffeine intake. Make sure you are taking care of yourself and getting enough sleep, your mental health is more important than a grade! Slay queen.
