1. What is your major and intended graduation date?

I am a graduate student in the Public Relations program here at Hofstra, and I will be graduating in 2017.

2. Where did you go for undergrad, and what made you choose Hofstra for your graduate degree?

I attended the University of Maryland, College Park for undergrad. I decided to come to Hofstra for grad school because of their awesome Public Relations program.

3. How long have you been involved in pageants?

This past pageant i participated in was actually my first one. Most of the girls I met during the Miss Maryland USA pageant weekend were first timers too. Some of the girls had been there 2 or 3 times before.

4. How did you get involved?

I actually saw a post about it on Facebook, and I called one of my friends to tell her she should sign up. She ended up not doing it, but she encouraged me to send in an application. After about a month  I was called for a phone interview and that’s pretty much how it all started. I’m so happy I went through the process I met really great people.

5. What would you say your dream job is?

Eventually I would like to have my own public relations firm, but that’s years down the line. For now, my goal is to work for a public relations agency that has a wide array of clientele so I can see what it’s like handling PR with different industries.
