This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Hofstra chapter.

Have you ever wondered how to apply to internships, how to break into the business of your choice or even just what’s the point of an internship? Well, Hofstra’s branch of PRSSA has the asnwers to all those questions and more as they host the event, “Internships, Careers and Connections” featuring The Intern Queen herself, Lauren Berger, this Monday!

Lauren Berger made a name for herself as the “Intern Queen” while participating in over ten internships over the course of her college career at University of Central Florida. She has been internationally recognized for her work with young people and her entreprenuerial spirit has attracted millions of job and internship seekers. Recently, Berger has been featured on The Today Show, Fox & Friends, The New York Times, The New York Post, Teen Vogue, Bloomberg, LA Weekly, and more. She regularly contributes to AOL Jobs, USA Today, Huffington Post, Seventeen.com, Justine Magazine, and more.

Come listen to Lauren talk about how to get internships, start your career, and make invaluable connections! The first twenty attendees will receive a goodie bag and the first fifty will receive a copy of her New York Times best-selling book, All Work No Pay.

In most major disciplines here at Hofstra, internship credit is required for graduation so this is a must-see speaker for anyone looking to break out into the world of internships or careers. HC Hofstra’s ‘Intern Diary’ blogger, Katie Day, as well as ‘Beauty by Bela’ vlogger, Isabela Jacobsen, will be on hand at the event for any questions.

It all happens this Monday at 7 pm in the Student Center Theater. Be sure ask questions, bring your business cards to network with Lauren and  RSVP on Facebook.
