Hello my loves and welcome back to my blog! Today I am doing a post on beauty influencers. Influencers are, for the most part, self-made. They use many mediums to spread their messages such as Instagram, YouTube, and blogging. Here are my personal favorite influencers who got me into blogging.
Jaclyn Hill @JaclynHill
Jaclyn Hill began YouTube in 2011. At the time she worked for Mac Cosmetics, but her brand began to grow and in 2015 when she collaborated with Becca Cosmetics on the AMAZING highlighter “Champagne Pop”. She then collaborated with Morphe to create an eyeshadow palette that is iconic! She legit started from the bottom and now she’s here.
James Charles @JamesCharles
James Charles began YouTube in 2015 and he became the first male CoverGirl Spokesmodel at the age of 17. He is known for his catchphrase “Hey Sisters!” He is now a Morphe Babe and I have a feeling he is working on something with Morphe, but only time will tell.
Huda Kattan @HudaBeauty
OMG, I am OBSESSED with Huda. She is a self-made mama who did not begin in the beauty world. She studied finance and hated what she was doing, so she left and began her amazing blog, hudabeauty.com. She now has her own brand that is one of the top sellers at Sephora!
Bretman Rock @BretmanRock
Bretman launched his YouTube channel in 2012, but did not begin making videos until 2015. At only 20 years old, he collaborated with Morphe on his incredibly successful highlighter palette, Babe in Paradise.
Jeffree Star @JeffreeStar
In 2006, Jeffree Star became the most followed person on MySpace and launched a short-lived music career. Using his life’s savings, he created his own brand, Jeffree Star Cosmetics, and uses YouTube to promote the brand. His first physical store opened in August 2018 in New Jersey.
Nikkie de Jager @NikkieTutorials
Nikkie took the internet by storm with her “Power of Makeup” video, causing many people to do their face half makeup, half none. She is currently collaborating with Too Faced, Ofra and Maybelline.
Sadia Khan @SadiaSlayy
I came across Sadia when i was scrolling though makeup videos on Instagram, and my first thought was “this mama can slay.” She is currently taking a well deserved break from Instagram after the birth of her baby, but make sure you follow her when she comes back!
Nabela Noor @Nabela
Nabela was someone I found on Huda Beauty’s Instagram and fell in love with because of her body positivity. She is so talented at doing makeup.
Thank you so much for reading my blog, and I hope you come back next week!
XOXO,
Emma
