Pilates Princess: Rebecca Gaylor

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at GCSU chapter.

Meet This Week’s Campus Celebrity: Pilates Princess Rebecca Gaylor!

Rebecca is a senior psychology major with a photography minor. She also instructs a Pilates class two days a week at the GC Wellness Center!

Her Campus: How long have you been doing Pilates?

Rebecca Gaylor: Well, I found POP Pilates like 3 years ago. I watched videos on YouTube by this Pilates instructor Cassey Ho. I did her workouts obsessively! So yeah, I guess I’ve been doing it for about 3 years now.

HC: What made you want to be a Pilates instructor?

RG: Well, it’s my senior year so I’m trying to do as much as I can while I’m here. It’s a good way to spread positivity and happiness.

HC: What else besides Pilates do you do to stay healthy?

RG: I really like riding horses and I used to do a little bit of ballet. I also run a lot with my roommate and I kind of do yoga but I keep forgetting to do it!

HC: What’s something not many people know about you?

RG: I’ve broken 3 toes, a finger, a foot, and my nose!

HC: What are the top 3 things on your bucket list?

RG: I would like to travel across the ocean, do something that directly saves someone’s life, and I’ve always wanted to go to the running of the ponies on Chincoteague Island.

If you’re interested in checking out Rebecca’s awesome POP Pilates class, come to the Wellness Center on Monday nights at 7 pm-7:50 pm and/or Wednesday nights at 8 pm-8:50 pm.

If you’re not sure what POP Pilates is, here’s a YouTube video with famous POP Pilates instructor, Cassey Ho:
