The Many Feelings of Spring Break

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Emmanuel chapter.

It’s that time of year again… Whether you’re jetting off to a tropical vacation or staying home, there are many emotions that come with the start of spring break.

Nevertheless, you still get excited and start doing a little dance when no one is looking.

You try to plan, but planning always involves getting other people to go along with what you want to do. I’m looking for a friend… anyone??

Suddenly, it’s the weekend of and you realize you already wasted a day of your break catching up on sleep on account of exams causing you stress. But is that really a waste of a day?

If you’re anything like me, you’ve imagined doing a million different things during this allotted amount of time. Somehow you wind up doing only a select few…

You’re having a little too much fun until you reach your credit card limit buying corn dogs, daiquiris and getting matching mani/pedis. Spring break? More like:

Before you even have time to think of what to do next with your buds, you realize just how short Spring break actually is. You then all get sentimental because you’ve been waiting for this for so long and now it’s over. #sunsetpicsforevaaaa

I think we can all agree that the toughest part is the Monday after it’s over. All of your professors ask you how you’re feeling after your “restful” break and you sit there like, “How many days until summer?”
